The Systemwide Academic Technologies Procurement Team (SWAT) – http://swat.calstate.edu

SWAT was established to reduce campus and system costs for academic technology products through "volume" negotiations, and to establish campus-accessible center of information and expertise on academic technology products/vendors/services through a CO-managed centralized repository of information. By developing support strategies for disseminating and educating campus communities about the availability and use of academic technologies, SWAT will acquire system-wide leverage with vendors of academic technology products.

The Systemwide Academic Technologies Procurement Team (SWAT) includes members from the Information Technology Advisory Council, and The Council of Library Directors. SWAT is seeking to negotiate better pricing on for CSU campuses on a variety of popular products such as course management software and plagiarism detection products.
