MERLOT provides access to thousands of high quality online learning objects and resources for a variety of disciplines. All online learning materials in the repository have been recommended by a MERLOT member and many have been peer reviewed, have assignments attached, and/or have user comments. MERLOT Editorial Boards are responsible for the peer reviews and work to maintain a high level of quality and consitancy in the materials available.‘Discipline communities’ have been established, allowing faculty to focus on their domain of interest and providing a resource for collaboration.

MERLOT - Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching - is an international cooperative of systems, consortiums, institutions of higher education, professional organizations, and individual members.
